Question: Do I need a fishing license to fish ponds on my property?

Answer:

No, you do not need a fishing license to harvest fish out of your own ponds unless those ponds or lakes are fed with a stream, creek, or river where fish can swim in and out.  Plus, you will need a fishing license to harvest frogs out of your ponds because frogs can enter or leave your property as well.
